The Military National Security Service supports the Hungarian Defence Forces in their efforts to efficiently conduct their peace support operations, crisis-management and humanitarian assistance missions. Based on Paragraph 6, article e) of the Law on National Security Services (Act No. CXXV. of 1995), “The service collects information on any effort and activity threatening the Hungarian Defence Forces’ units and personnel deployed in the operations and takes part in their national security protection, training and support.” Furthermore, the Military National Security Service provides any relevant information to support the operational planning activity of the General Staff concerning its international missions.
